GSSE SCHOLARSHIP

WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED BY GSSE?

(FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS ONLY)

  • - 100% Tuition Scholarships + Living Stipends 
  • - 100% Tuition Scholarships
  • - Partial Scholarships (25% and more)

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • - New applicants applying for admission
  • - Applicants whom is accepted in GSSE admissions round 1 or 2

HOW CAN I APPLY?

After being accepted into the program, please email us to confirm that you have successfully passed the interview exam and require financial support. You will have a separate interview to determine your eligibility for a scholarship.

WHAT ARE THE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP?

1. Statement of purpose 

The Statement of Purpose should be about one page long and is geared towards your financial needs, academic performance and leadership potential. This part will tell us a lot about who you are, so you want to make sure that this is well written and organised.

Areas we are looking in your scholarship statement of purpose:

Financial Needs: We want to see that you have a demonstrated financial need. We take into account your family background and the availability of other financial means to support your studies at GSSE.

Academic Performance: We want to see your exceptional academic performance during high school. We are looking for your academic ability and potential to flourish at GSSE.

Leadership Potential: We look for leaders who have the potential to change the world. As such, we want to see that you have made notable contributions to your community. We want to see your enthusiasm, energy, and depth of commitment towards social change that you can bring to our community.

2. Parents financial statements

Please provide financial statements from the past six months.

HOW WILL I BE EVALUATED FOR FINANCIAL AID?

-  We review requests for financial aid holistically, focusing on a student’s financial needs, academic performance, and leadership potential.

-  Financial Need: We are required to determine that you have a demonstrated financial need. We also take into consideration your family background and the availability of other financial resources to support your studies at GSSE.

-  Academic Performance: An additional criterion for determining eligibility for financial assistance is exceptional academic performance during high school. On this basis will evaluate your academic ability and potential to excel in your studies at GSSE.

-  Leadership Potential: We look for leaders who have the potential to change the world. As such, we want to determine that you have made notable, extracurricular contributions to your community. We want to see your enthusiasm, energy, and the depth of commitment towards social change that you will bring to our program.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

BA ALTERNATIVE EXTERNAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Apart from the scholarships provided by SGS, applicants are also encouraged to explore other scholarship opportunities from outside SGS as well. Below is a list of external organizations who provide alternative scholarships, welcoming GSSE applicants and students to apply.

Applicants who are interested in applying for these alternative scholarships can use the provided application form. Please fill in your chosen scholarship provider(s) and submit it to us. SGS will send your application form to your chosen scholarship provider(s). In the meantime, applicants will be waiting to be contacted back by their scholarship provider(s) about the related conditions, criteria, and processes.

Alternative scholarship application criteria:

  1. Apply for the GSSE program at SGS, Thammasat University.
  2. State your intention to apply for an alternative scholarship by sending an intention email to the GSSE program.
  3. The program will send your scholarship application and reference letter to the organization.
  4. You will wait to be contacted back by the organization for further steps.

How Will I be evaluated?

Applicants will be evaluated based on the scholarship provider’s discretion of applicant’s overall qualifications and qualities.

Important

Applicants should always check the curriculum’s calendar and be aware of its application dates, as well as your credit registration dates. By doing this, you will be able to apply for the scholarships and receive your financial support at the right time. Scholarship providers will need to know about your costs first before they can support you.
