DR. GERTJAN LUCAS

Dr Gerardus (Gertjan) Lucas is a Lecturer at the School of Global Studies, Thammasat University, Thailand. He previously held positions at the University of Nottingham, De Montfort University (UK), Simon Fraser University (Canada), and Tilburg University (The Netherlands) where Gertjan also obtained his doctorate in Strategy and Innovation. Gertjan has experience as a co-founder of PLV Consultancy (2007-2013) and the Study Association UCMSA Universalis (2002-2005). Gertjan has been involved in supporting and teaching students, first at secondary school and later at university level, for over 25 years.

Gertjan is a behavioural strategy researcher whose main area of study is Performance Feedback Theory, which explains how strategic decision makers collect, interpret and act upon performance information pertaining to their organization. This may involve ‘traditional’ financial performance but also extends to non-financial types of performance such as sustainability and social impact.
