Matthew O’Lemmon is an associate professor at the School of Global Studies, Thammasat University, Thailand. As an anthropologist with experience throughout Southeast Asia, he has worked on projects related to post-war conflict, religious nationalism, and the role of technology in cultural change. His work delves into the consequences of innovation in the digital revolution, exploring potential negative impacts. Dr. O’Lemmon has also investigated international tourists in Vietnam, reviewed scholarly work, and explored various aspects of Cambodian society, such as Buddhist identity, spirit cults, and the 1973 Cambodian Buddhist Holy War.
