Before pursuing a career as an academic, Dr. Phithaksak (in Thai, พิทักษ์ศักดิ์ ทิศาภาคย์) worked for some of Thailand’s leading broadcasting companies for over ten years as a scriptwriter, programme producer, and on-air presenter. Today, he enjoys teaching, conducting research, and supervising students who are researching a wide variety of communications and media-related subjects situated in various national and transnational contexts.
