Dr Te Klangboonkrong joined the School of Global Studies in January 2025. She started her academic career as Vice-Chancellor’s 2020 Lecturer in Business and Management at De Montfort University (Leicester, UK). More recently, she turned her focus to commercial routes to social impact from non-STEM research as part of the Research and Enterprise Division at the University of Leicester. Prior to her doctoral studies, Te worked in market research optimising new product development for FMCG clients.
Having recently returned to academic roles as a lecturer, Te remains active in external engagement aiming at maximising research impact in a responsible and sustainable way. Currently, she continues supporting colleagues from the University of Leicester in exploring business models for low-cost, evidence-based reproductive health kits in disaster-prone areas of South Asia through UKRI-funded initiatives.
Te’s current research interests include academic entrepreneurship (especially from social science disciplines) and inclusive entrepreneurship with a focus on disability, mainly from an institutional theory perspective.
