The Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control

The WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) Secretariat has created several Knowledge Hubs worldwide to support Parties in implementing the Convention.  The Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control (GGTC), based at the School of Global Studies, Thammasat University in Thailand, has been designated as a Knowledge Hub (KH) on WHO FCTC Article 5.3, protecting tobacco control policies from interference from commercial and other vested interests of the tobacco industry.

Our objectives are:

·       To develop shared values in tobacco control across sectors both national, regional, and international

·       To support the development of policy/measures and code of conduct for various sectors when interacting with the tobacco industry in accordance with FCTC Article 5.3
