About ICSW 2025

For the first time, three major international networks—

Asia Democracy Network (ADN), CIVICUS, and the Asia Pacific Social Forum (APSF)—are joining forces with Thammasat University to host this global event. In a world facing challenges like climate change and democratic backsliding, ICSW 2025 provides a critical space for civil society to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and innovate for a better future. The event will bring together 1,300 leaders, activists, academics, and citizens from around the globe to empower citizen action and build powerful alliances.

What to Expect

Experience a dynamic and participatory program designed to inspire action and collaboration.

  • Interactive Sessions: Engage in plenary discussions, keynote speeches from global leaders, and over 20 parallel workshops. Formats will be participatory, similar to a World Café, encouraging open dialogue.
  • Public Engagement: Participate in special events like a Peace March (Dhammayatra), and activities integrated with the Thammasat Open House.
  • Cultural Exchange: Enjoy cultural performances, film screenings, and exhibitions showcasing the work of civil society organizations. The event concludes with a chance to experience the beautiful
  • Loy Krathong Festival on November 5th.
