Exciting Field Visit: The Ocean Cleanup and the Fight Against Plastic Pollution!

On January 18, 2025, students from the School of Global Studies (SGS) at Thammasat University went on an inspiring field visit to The Ocean Cleanup in Bangkok, Thailand. This visit was a unique chance for undergraduate and graduate students to see innovative strategies for tackling plastic pollution in the Chao Phraya River.

A Dive into Innovation and Sustainability

During the visit, students discovered how advanced technology is reducing plastic waste in the river. This effort supports sustainability goals while creating a cleaner environment for future generations. They saw real-world applications of technology for solving environmental issues, which was both educational and inspiring.
