Message to SGS community regarding COVID-19 from our Dean

Dear SGS Community,

Thammasat University is closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. As the situation continues to change rapidly, our top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our community.

The University is taking decisive, informed action to limit the spread of COVID-19 while ensuring the continuity of our teaching mission.

Operation of the university will continue with appropriate measures to protect the health of the community. Please be informed and abide by the following stipulations of Thammasat University as laid out in the Rector’s statement.

Thammasat stipulations are consistent with the recommendations of leading health officials on how to limit the spread of COVID-19 and are also consistent to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand.

All these recommendations are made to minimize the need to gather in large groups and spend prolonged time in close proximity with each other in spaces such as classrooms, office areas, and dormitory buildings.

For regular updates and additional information, please visit SGS website and Facebook regularly.

If you are a student or faculty member and have specific questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Thank you all for your patience and resilience.  It will take time for the situation to mitigate and return to normalcy. However, we will surpass this situation together.

With appreciation,

Asst. Prof. Prapaporn Tivayanond Mongkhonvanit

Dean, School of Global Studies
