Today (5th April 2022), The School of Global Studies has had an honor of hosting and organizing ‘Professor Sanya Dharmasakti Day’ for this year at Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus.
Attended by Thammasat University Rector, Vice Rectors, Deans, and faculty representatives, it is an important annual ceremony to memorialize the great late Professor Sanya Dharmasakti—our former TU Rector, former Thailand Prime Minister, former President of the Privy Council, and the former President of the Supreme Court.
Each faculty and department from both within and outside of TU joined to memorialize Professor Sanya, and presented school stationary donations in the form of elaborately adorned pedestal trays.
Professor Sanya Dharmasakti had contributed great work, knowledge and wisdom to not only Thammasat students, but also for Thai society at large. His remark and the spirit of “Freedom in every square inch” will continue to live on in people’s hearts.
