Dear all SGS lecturers,
In response to the challenges posed by COVID-19,
(1) I encourage all SGS lecturers to begin transitioning to virtual instruction for graduate and undergraduate classes.
(2) Students should also be asked to meet academic requirements remotely until further notice.
(3) Moreover, students should prepare for limited on-campus activities and interactions.
The goal of these changes is to minimize the need to gather in large groups and spend prolonged time in close proximity with each other in spaces such as classrooms.
SGS will communicate more specific guidance and information, and we encourage everyone to review previous guidance about international travel of Thammasat University.
Meanwhile, SGS community is here to support you. If you need help to prepare online instructions, please let us know.
There are several avenues for recording video lectures such as:
- Ocam
- Logi
- Iscript
As for real time sessions, there are:
- Zoom
- Microsoft Team
- Google Classroom
I will be formulating a team with technical skills within SGS by next week and provide more information.
In the meantime, stay safe and healthy, and take precautionary measures to avoid crowded space and risky situation.
This coming Monday, I will attend an urgent meeting with the rector, hoping to get clearer mandates from the university in this matter. I will share pursuant directives accordingly.
Thank you for your patience and your resilience as we all learn to address this uncertain condition together.
With appreciation,
Prapaporn Tivayanond Mongkhonvanit, Dean
School of Global Studies, Thammasat University
